They have high activation, stiff, strong and light filaments used in fibers. They are five times stronger than other composite materials. They are of high cost but sometimes it depends on the quality of the carbon fibers. This is an ideal material for modulating the stiffness into certain molten materials. Carbon fibers are also used in aerospace applications, civil infrastructure etc.
